International Travel Language Tips
When you travel to a foreign country where they speak a different language, how are you going to learn about it? You don’t have to be fluent in a language but it’s nice from a cultural standpoint to learn a few words not to mention it’s beneficial. How do you find out? Well, you can pick yourself up some tapes put them in your car and while you are getting to go, learn a little bit about the language. How else? You can learn about language conversation on the internet, you can learn how to say different phrases that are essential to where you are going, also if you learn a little bit about the language before you go you’ll find out that some things will give you tremendous courtesy ability. Just saying something in France for instance if you are going and instead of just saying “Merci beau cout” you say “Merci beau cout madam muise” that is showing some courtesy that will get you far. Let me give you another example in Greece did you know that in order to graduate from high school in Greece you have to be fluent in English, so if you are ever stuck in Greece make sure you look for somebody around 16 they’ll be able to interpret for you. You can go on the internet, you can take your own little cheat sheet, you can learn a little of the language on tapes, most important thing is if you are travelling internationally don’t expect everybody to all know English, so some courtesy learn a little of the language.
